Team
HHIF works with the amazing Oncology Social Worker Team at VCH to target the children and families most in need. Grants are approved by the Board on an individual basis. Each Grant is personally delivered as we feel the connection with our children and families are an important part of our mission. The Board of Directors have a combined 65 + years of service to the Central Valley community and have served on many other Boards as well.
History
In the Spring of 2012, during Hunter's senior year of high school at San Joaquin Memorial, he was named Teen of the Year from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for raising over $33,000. This further inspired him to start the Hunter’s Hope International Foundation he and his family had wanted to for years. With the help of his mother, Catherine, HHIF became more than just an idea and received IRS approval for 501(c)3 status the following year, in 2013.
Mission
The Mission of Hunter’s Hope International Foundation is to bring “hope and help” to pediatric oncology patients and their families by providing grants to improve and enhance their quality of life while undergoing cancer treatment, chemotherapy, radiation and recovery. HHIF also supports bringing awareness and research funding to specifically children’s cancer.
